From drop-off to pick up, getting your blades sharpened is quick, simple, and hassle-free.

Pick Up

Steel Sharp offers local pick-up service — we come to you, collect your knives, sharpen them, and return them once complete.

This service is available to customers located within Lake County. To request pick-up, contact us with the subject/title “Pick-Up” and we will send you a short form to fill out.

After receiving your form, we will provide a quote based on our pricing and schedule a pick-up time. Please have your blades ready at the agreed time — either placed in your mailbox or prepared for hand-off.

We will pick up, sharpen, and drop off your blades typically within 1–3 business days. A $3 convenience fee applies to all pick-up orders.

Pick Up

Steel Sharp offers convenient pickup and delivery for customers located within 30–40 minutes of Mount Dora, Florida.

1. Schedule Your Order

Book your sharpening service online. A flat $5 Pickup & Delivery Fee is included with every order.

2. We Pick Up Your Knives

Leave your knives in a secure, pre-arranged location on your scheduled pickup day. You don't need to be home.

3. Professional Sharpening

Your knives are professionally sharpened, inspected, and cleaned using high-quality equipment.

4. We Return Them

Most orders are completed within 1–3 business days. We'll return your knives to the agreed-upon location and notify you once they're ready.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does sharpening take?

Most sharpening jobs are completed within standard turnaround time based on volume. Usually within 3 business days for a 5-knife order depending on the week.

What types of blades do you sharpen?

We sharpen kitchen knives, hunting and pocket knives, scissors, axes, chisels, pruners, garden tools, and more. We also offer edge restoration, tip repair, rust removal, and polishing when needed. See our services page for more info.

Do I need to prepare my blades before drop-off or pickup?

Yes, it’s preferred that you wrap knives in a protective case, sheath, or even a grocery bag to cover the blades. This helps keep them safe to handle during drop-off or pickup.

Do you accept card payments?

Yes — Steel Sharp accepts card payments through Stripe and PayPal. Please note that card transactions include a small processing fee, which will be added to your total at checkout.
